All AC powered devices that plug into the wall by a cord can use power entry modules. Arrow´s selection of power entry modules are designed to lower costs by combining the connector, fuse, switch, voltage selection, and EMI ⁄ RFI filtering into one unit that is pre–built and mounted in a case. Emission filtering is optimized in power entry modules because it is done at point of entry.
Power entry modules also reduce purchasing and inventory costs because; there are fewer components to purchase and store, they reduce space in your design because they are a packaged solution, and they lower assembly costs because their plug–in capability requires less labor to wire. Power Entry modules also reduce the complexity of UL and IEC certification because they are easily adapted to worldwide emissions requirements.
