BUGswarm

BUGswarm is a cloud-based service designed to help developers build the next generation of applications and services for M2M and the "internet of Things". Used in conjunction with BUG hardware (or the supported devices), developers can quickly prototype and deploy systems that deliver real-time business intelligence from connected devices.

BUG Platform

The BUG platform is composed of BUGbasesTM and BUGmodulesTM. The BUGbase is the "brain" and provides CPU, storage and networking services. BUGmodules are discrete, plug-and-play functional units that add capabilities to the BUGbase. Up to four physical BUGmodule connections and an unlimited number of wireless connections via Bluetooth, WiFi, etc. are supported by each BUGbase.

BUG 2.0

The slimmer and sleeker BUG 2.0 has a simpler, more intuitive interface and a beautiful color scheme to match. Under the hood, you'll experience improved computing performance, extended battery life, and 720p HD video thanks to a new BUGvideo module and dedicated 24-bit parallel video slot. Additionally, you'll benefit from the widely-used, widely-supported Angstrom Linux OS and OpenJDK JVM that come standard.

BUG WiFi and Bluetooth

From M2M to telematics, customers can now use their mobile BUGs to connect to the Internet wherever there's 3G wireless coverage. This is in addition to BUG’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless protocols that come standard. Bug Labs’s Wireless Innovation Platform program also helps businesses solve their toughest GSM, CDMA, LTE, and other wireless challenges.

Web Server

With a built-in web server, BUG 2.0 gives users the ability to remotely access and control hardware using web services. Using a standard web browser, Bug Labs makes it easy to see what modules are connected to your BUG, install/remove apps, and start triggering actions and collecting data such as location, pictures, temperature, and more.

BUGmodules

With the highly-anticipated release of BUG 2.0, we've also released some brand new modules to complement our most popular BUGmodules, including BUGcam and BUGvideo. And customers will be happy to know that the new BUG will continue to offer the same serial, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, I2C, I2S, and other popular protocols that they’ve come to expect. BUGstinger

BUGstinger is the perfect tool for BUG development and troubleshooting. A new dock created by Bug Labs, the BUGstinger features wired Ethernet, serial through Mini-USB, and full-size female USB ports. BUGstinger is small, jet black, and connects to the BUGbase via a single cable to help reduce clutter.
